What inspired "Women in Business Network"?
Sarasota Women in Business was inspired by a desire to build strong connections in our community with business owners, charities and other civic organizations. We were inspired by other events that brought women of many different industries and backgrounds together into one room.

How the Idea Came About? What Are the Goals?
Our leadership team is composed of 4 local business owners, Tanya, Luda, Katya and Natasha, all who have been in the area for less than 4 years and are in different industries from vacation rental management to real estate to e-commerce of a fashion line and nutritional supplements.
One of our organizers,Tanya, got us into a meeting and pitched the idea of organizing a local event which would showcase other local businesses. The goal of the event was to be a place where women could enjoy learning about and connecting with local businesses in an energized and fun environment.

What Do You Envision For the Future of This Brand?
We envision continuing hosting biannual events where women can gather and enjoy a curated event with bites, drinks and live music. This event has been, and we hope will continue to be a more intimate setting where women business owners and supporters are able to share their accomplishments and struggles and cheer one another forward.

We want to inspire a desire to collaborate in creative ways and be a space that would bring about changes to Sarasota and what it offers the community.
What Do You Hope for the Audience to Take Away from Your Mission?
Our biggest 'A-ha" moment so far has been when we have met women around the community that have spoken of connections, they made which grew their business in the area and collaborative efforts with other businesses. We hope that women will see that we are all in this together and they are not alone.

We hope that those who join our events will feel that the challenges they face can be shared and understood by other business owners and that by seeing the wealth and diversity of experience and creativity embodied in other local women, it will inspire them to continue to work out their mission with boldness.
